1. What is a nurse consultant?
A nurse consultant is a licensed nurse who provided expert guidance, support, and advocacy for patients and families. At Heart & Scope Nurse Consulting LLC, we help clients navigate the healthcare system, coordinate care, and assist with making informed decisions- but WE DO NOT DIAGNOSIS CONDITIONS OR PRESCRIBE MEDICATIONS
2. How is nurse consulting different from nursecoaching?
Nurse coaching focuses on lifestyle changes and wellness, while nurse consulting emphasizes advocacy, care management, and healthcare navigation. We partner with clients, families, and providers to ensure cae plans are clear, coordinated, and compassionate
3. Do you replace my doctor or provider?
NO. We do not replace your healthcare providers. Instead, we support and advocate for you while ensuring that your provider's recommendations and treatment plans are understood, followed, and coordinated effectively.
4. Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we are a private-pay consulting service. Some clients may be able to submit receipts to long-term care insurance or Health Saving Accounts(HSA/FSA) for potential reimbursement.
5. How much do services cost?
Our services are billed as hourly or package rates depending on your needs.
6. Can services be provided virtually?
YES! We offer virtual sessional via secure video or phone. This allow us to support clients across Illinois. However, in-person nurse visit, wound care, & training are done on Saturdays only for the Chicago area.
7. Do I need a referral from my provider?
No referral is required. Anyone seeking support with healthcare navigation, care management, or patient advocacy can reach out directly. However, provider information must be on file for communication & current medication list to assist with directing care.
8. What if I need to cancel my appointment.
We ask that clients provide at least48 hour's notice for cancellations.
